Smithereens’ lead singer Pat DiNizio sadly passed away much too soon, on December 12, 2017 at the age of 62. But his musical legacy will live in with the establishment of the PAT DiNizio Musical Performance Scholarship at the Count Basie Theatre’s Performing Arts Academy in Red Bank, NJ.
The Basie Academy is home to rock, vocal, jazz and classical music programs and the scholarship will be administered by the academy. Contributions can be made through the Count Basie Theatre website– the Pat DiNizio scholarship is the first item listed in the gift allocation dropdown menu.
