Smithereens drummer Dennis Diken appears the upcoming Dr. Demento compilation “Covered in Punk” featuring new covers of punk rock songs. One of the tracks Dennis plays on is a cover of the Cramps “Garbageman” featuring William Shatner on vocals.
The 64 song, double CD/3 disc colored vinyl set will be out on January 12, 2018. Other contributors to the collection include Joan Jett, Fred Schneider of the B-52’s, the Dead Milkmen, Weird Al, Adam (Batman) West and Dr. Demento himself!
